SharePoint RichText Boost provides an additional toolbar for SharePoint Richtext Editor. It extends the functions of Default SharePoint RichText editor without replacing SharePoint RichText editor or creating a new column type. These new functions include:

By default, users can't adjust the size of SharePoint RichText editor area when editing an item; it is inconvenient when users want to input large text or insert large images or tables etc. With SharePoint RichText Boost toolbar, users can freely increase/decrease height/width of the SharePoint RichText editor area. These operations are completed on the client side without posting back to server.

If to insert images into SharePoint RichText editor as attachments of the editing item, you may save-open the item many times for inserting images to RichText editor, which is inconvenient. With SharePoint RichText Boost, you can click "insert attached image" button on the additional toolbar and a dialog popup. Then you can upload image files in this dialog, and the image files will be saved as the attachments of the item. Finally you can select any attachment and insert it into SharePoint RichText editor.

Currently it is impossible for user to directly insert a flash into RichText editor and show the flash when display the item, but with SharePoint RichText Boost toolbar, you can insert and display flash conveniently as inserting and displaying image with SharePoint RichText Editor. After you insert flashes and save the item, you can see the flash running at everywhere the item is displayed, for example, display form, list view, web part etc.
